Loving Membership

Loving Membership. We do this first by encouraging membership in the local church. Every Christian should follow Jesus Christ, in part, by joining themselves together with other followers of Jesus. Jesus gave us this commandment: “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:34).

How are Jesus’ followers to love one another if they are not joined together with one another through the fellowship of the church? So important is this command and our relationship with each other that Jesus says that this will be the proof to all men that we are His disciples (His followers).
