Joining the FBC Family
Becoming a member of First Baptist Church is as easy as 1-2-3.
Attend our Life Together membership class. Life Together is a 5-session weekend class. Attending the class does not obligate you to join. But if you’re considering joining the First Baptist family, we do ask that you complete each of the five sessions where we explore the importance of church membership, what we believe, our church’s covenant, church history, and a range of other things it would be helpful to know about our church. If after completing the Life Together session you’re still interested in membership…
Request a membership interview with a pastor. Membership interviews are opportunities to talk with a pastor, to ask any questions you may have, and to share your story of how you came to faith in Jesus Christ. They provide one other opportunity for you to get to know us and for us to get to know you. If after the membership interview you’re convinced you would like to join the FBC family…
Apply for membership. This step is really simple. At the members’ meeting following your membership interview, we will recommend to the congregation your membership to the church. The congregation votes and someone will notify you of your membership in the church. From there… it’s a matter of blending your life with others in the church by serving together, studying together, praying together, and growing together in Christ!
We hope you will consider becoming a part of the family of God at First Baptist Church. To sign up for the next Life Together study contact the church office by e-mail or by phone at 345-949-0692.
